Due to continued growth we are looking at expanding our Transport department. You will be working as part of our Transport team to ensure deliveries are made on time and providing excellent customer service to all our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure deliveries are made on time
  • To carry out daily ‘walk around’ checks of current vehicle
  • Ensure any defects or maintenance issues are reported immediately to the Transport Manager
  • Keeping accurate records of deliveries, ensuring all paperwork is handed to the Transport Manager daily
  • All returned goods must be dealt with daily
  • Ensuring safe driving practises must be adhered to at all times
  • Adhere to and be fully aware of current driving legislation including Working Time Directive and Drivers Taco
  • All vehicles must be returned to Depot with full tank of fuel, with the Ad blue being monitored and topped up when required
  • Ensure the vehicle is kept clean at all times, inside and out
  • Secure any monies collected and hand in to Transport Manager at the end of each shift

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience of multi drop deliveries preferable but not essential
  • Good knowledge of British geography preferable but not essential
  • HGV Class 2 License essential
  • No more than 3 points on license within last 3 years essential
  • Up to date Driver CPC essential

Behaviours:

  • Excellent Customer service skills, interaction with clients on deliveries
  • Be polite and courteous at all times to both colleagues, visitors and customers
  • Good time management essential
