DB Foods Strengthens Sales Team as Business Targets Record Sales in 2026
DB Foods has announced a number of senior sales appointments as the business continues its investment-led growth strategy and positions itself for record sales in 2026.
The appointments strengthen DB Foods’ national sales coverage across hospitality, catering and butchery customers throughout the UK and form part of the company’s ambition to reach £150 million in sales, following a £12 million investment into the business.
The four new appointments bring together a wide range of expertise across butchery, wholesale, hospitality and foodservice, reinforcing DB Foods’ relationship-led approach and commitment to long-term customer support.

Working in central London, Jay Green spent 10 years in the hospitality sector as a chef before specialising in butchery and spending 13 years managing meat provision for prestigious names across the capital, including Harvey Nichols and Selfridges. In 2022, he moved into wholesale by taking an Account Manager role at the Freedown Food Company.
“My career seems to have been a natural progression, accumulating experience, knowledge and contacts across the meat sector that I can now apply to new opportunities for DB Foods,” he says. “London is a fantastic hub from which I can make contact with potential customers across the country, so am looking forward to raising awareness of all DB Foods can offer.”
Carl Harris (Middle image)
Carl Harris has worked in the industry since the age of 16, starting his journey at Doncaster Abattoir, then joining Towers Thompson in Mexborough, where he worked for over 20 years, initially as a delivery driver before moving into various roles in the depot, gaining experience in stock, logistics, transport management and sales. In 2003, he took up the position of Depot Manager at Weddel Swift in Rochdale before now joining DB Foods. Based in Doncaster, Carl has built a professional network across the North of the UK, working with customers from East to West Coast, and from Leicestershire to Cumbria.
“I was looking for a fresh challenge and something new to bring to my business contacts,” says Carl. “With over 25 years in the industry, my knowledge of trading desks, wholesale business and purchasing, together with wholesale and retail contacts means I can hit the ground running in order to help DB Foods achieve its ambitions.”
Damien Berry (Bottom image)
Based in the Malvern Hills between Worcestershire and Herefordshire, Damien Berry’s career has been a unique combination of butchery, entrepreneurship and a genuine love of food. Starting out as an apprentice at his local village butcher, he went on to start his own sandwich shop, Berrys, with the support of the Prince’s Trust, opened four stores in three years and won Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2007.
After selling the business in 2016, Damien returned to butchery by taking over a local business which he sold after six years and, since then, he has worked in sales roles for wholesalers.
“Being part of the butcher network, my friends and I were well aware of DB Foods,” Damien explains. “The company has a good reputation, I like their approach to marketing and social media and so when I learned of the opportunity to join the team at an exciting new chapter, I went for it.”
We’re pleased to welcome Jay Green, Carl Harris and Damien Berry to DB Foods and look forward to the impact they’ll have.
